THE CTS for Kids TEAM

Kimberly Mood, M.S. OTR/L

Owner and occupational therapist

While working as an Early Interventionist after college, Kimberly realized that she had a passion for empowering children and their families and chose to further her education to receive her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy and certification.

After years of helping children throughout the Rock Hill area, Kimberly’s dream of opening her own practice to continue supporting families through in home and clinic based therapy came to fruition and thus Carolina Therapy Solutions for Kids was born.

When she's not working, you'll find Kimberly with her husband Kevin and their two kids. She loves family time and, if "spare time" were a real thing, she'd love to be playing volleyball, rafting over whitewater rapids, or traveling.

Shakeena Fowler

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L)

Shakeena, originally from Duncan, SC, earned a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Lander University in Greenwood, SC and an Associates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Piedmont Technical College of Newberry, SC.

She has coached basketball teams, hosted basketball camps, volunteered for the Special Olympics, and traveled to Washington, DC and Philadelphia as an advocate for occupational therapy professional associations.

In her spare time, Shakeena enjoys watching movies, traveling, church, and spending time with family.

"I am very passionate about my career as a COTA, and I am very excited about this field because it uses activities that are most important to people as the beginning and end goals of therapy. As I begin this journey as a COTA my goal is to communicate, facilitate, educate, and support all efforts into patient and family-centered care."

Jenna Salomon

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L)

Jenna Salomon received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Winthrop University. She continued her education at South University where she graduated from the OTA program. Jenna has recently graduated and become a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She strives to not only impact the lives of children, but also target the success of family members and caregivers as well.

After being positively impacted by an OT through a personal experience, Jenna knew this was the career path she wanted to take. “Family is such an important factor in a child’s life. By encouraging this support, the child will successfully achieve a higher quality of life. I am excited to work with children, families, and caregivers in order to increase this success."

In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with her fiancé and dog. She also enjoys DIY projects, cooking, and exercising.

Terrell Hutchinson

Director of Operations

I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina.  My undergrad is in Retail and Small Business Management, and I have a Master in Global Business Administration. My lovely wife Jennifer of 7 years is a Clemson Graduate so we are a House Divided. We have 2 children Barrett (5) and Parker(3).

I enjoy watching all sports and love to golf -

even though I'm not good at all.

Lori Knight

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L)

Lori, originally from Orangeburg, South Carolina, graduated from Greenville Technical College in 2014 with her Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.  Her niece, Zoe, has been her biggest inspiration, and is what sparked her interest in the therapy field.  As a child with Mosaic Down Syndrome, Zoe has shown Lori the impact this field has on the lives of children with special needs. She loves working with children, and think the world would be a lot better if we could all see things through their eyes.

Lori is a huge Clemson fan and never misses a game during football season. She loves the outdoors, enjoys camping in the mountains or at the beach, and spending free time with her friends and family.

Rachel Cranford

Creative Consultant

After being an elementary school teacher for 9 years, Rachel became a part of the CTS for Kids team to help her friend Kim fulfill her dream. Now, she cheers on the CTS for Kids family from the sidelines and manages digital and special projects.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys camping and hiking with her husband Daniel, kayaking, creating, and reading a good book. Any recommendations? Let her know!

Josie McElroy

OTR Student

My name is Josie McElroy, and I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN on a working, family-owned horse farm. I grew up volunteering at Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding, which is a therapeutic riding center that assists individuals of all ages with physical, mental, and neurological disabilities in equine activities. Additionally, I volunteered in a special education classroom at a local elementary school through an action service-learning program. These experiences paved the way to my love for the field of Occupational Therapy.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Brevard College in Brevard, NC, with a major in Biology, and a minor in Health Science Studies. During this time, I was a student athlete, resident advisor, and tutor in the experiential learning commons. I have continued my love for the sport of volleyball through coaching and mentoring middle and high school girls.

I am currently in Columbia, SC at Lenoir-Rhyne University completing my master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Last summer, I completed my first level II fieldwork experience at Prisma Heath working in outpatient neurological rehabilitation with patient ages spanning from teens to older adults. Furthermore, I had the privilege of working on an interdisciplinary team and providing caregiver education to family members of these patients.

Throughout this semester, I have been collaborating with a group of colleagues to analyze the effects of top down, verses bottom up, treatment approaches with a pediatric client experiencing attention deficits. To carry over from my 2019 spring pediatric course and lab instruction, I will be taking a specialty course in pediatric based school systems this upcoming spring. It would be an honor to continue working in pediatrics for my second level II fieldwork placement this summer at Carolina Therapy Solutions.
