Meet The Team

IMG_9993.jpg

After receiving my undergraduate degree from USC in Columbia, I wanted to be a part of a profession that helped kids in need. I began working as an Early Intervention Specialist in Columbia and Orangeburg, SC. Shortly into this role, my passion for empowering children and their families grew. I decided to further my education and thus attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. where I received her Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy as well as my license to practice occupational therapy. After years of helping children, my dream of opening my own practice to continue supporting families through in-home and clinic based therapy came to fruition and thus Carolina Therapy Solutions for Kids was born. This company debuted in 2017 and has served over 250 families in York County and surrounding areas since then! I am overjoyed to continue this work with the talented team of individuals that I have with me on this journey at this time! Carolina Therapy Solutions for Kids is about to take off to new heights like never before. The work that we plan to do in 2024 and beyond is going to touch even more lives than imaginable.

I go by Monique, and I have a strong passion for helping others. I am from Lancaster, but have lived in Rock Hill for the past 11 years since attending York Technical College and Brookstone College for Business Management degrees. I am a long term professional with 20+ years of customer care, billing, and credit collections experience. I am relatively new to the CTS4K team, but I am the Administrative Coordinator. I am one of the front faces parents will meet when they come to our building! I can assist clients with invoice questions, communications about insurance authorization approvals, getting new clients acquainted with Seesaw, the Family Partnership Log, and the office space. I look forward to putting names to faces and providing top-notch customer service to you all!

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

I joined CTS4K in early 2021 as a parent of a child who requires occupational therapy. Because of the impact that therapy has had on my daughter's quality of life and my connection to the company's mission, I joined the CTS4K staff as the Operations Manager of our growing company. I was born, raised, and educated in the diverse northern city of Boston, Massachusetts. My credentials include a B.A. in Philosophy from Boston College, a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from Boston University, and a M.A. in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. During the pandemic, I relocated to Rock Hill, SC. I am a trained and licensed (math and special education) teacher, as well as a principal in North and South Carolina. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership Studies at Gardner-Webb University. My life assignment is to ensure that I contribute to the world in a way that improves it for those who have or continue to experience disadvantages. As the Operations Manager, I oversee all aspects of the business and keep things flowing in an orderly manner. I am elated to use my leadership skills to internally and externally evaluate and implement systems to move this company forward, so that the impact of therapy and family partnership is maximized to the fullest! I am also thrilled to also use my background in education to lead and support our parents/guardians, as a special education advocate. Above all, I am a mom of 3 beautiful girls, including one with special needs. I love spending my free time laughing and watching them grow.

Family and Community
Engagement Coordinator

I am a former elementary school teacher, a wife to Zak, and a mom of two little boys who light up my life. My oldest son was one of CTS4K’s very first clients after its establishment. I am a lifelong advocate for all neurodivergent people in the community. I am also a board member of the Council on Consumer Affairs (COCA) with the University of South Carolina’s Center for Disability Resources. I run two support groups for families with special needs loved ones, and work with local businesses to create sensory-friendly environments for all that live in this community. I am so excited to have the opportunity to support, guide, and learn from other parents on their own journey with special needs as the clinic’s Family and Community Engagement Coordinator.

I am a mom of five, including one with special needs. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy and previously worked for 5 years as an occupational therapist in a hospital setting before taking time off to stay home with my children. Recently, I have been involved with helping to start a nonprofit foundation for my son's rare disease family group. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work at Carolina Therapy Solutions 4 Kids and look forward to meeting you!

What Staff Say

"I enjoy working at CTS4K because one of the most rewarding events for me is seeing someone become confident with communicating. CTS4K not only gives me the tools to brew this confidence in others, but also the tools to make an impact within their families by creating advocates within our community. Helping our community is essential as many of the children we treat are the future leaders of our communities."
