OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES
Initial Evaluation
1 hour per evaluation
One of our occupational therapists will assess your child's level of participation in daily activities that are important to him or her. This means that she will be observing skills related to self-help, play, peer interactions, motor skills, and self-regulation, among others.
Weekly Treatment
Time varies
Either the Occupational Therapist or one of our certified OT assistants will meet with your child either in home, in the community, or in our clinic to work on activities as outlined in their Plan of Care. These exercises will be tailored to the individual needs of your child and family.
Screening
Time varies
During a screening, therapists will take a broad look at your child's motor skills, general milestone mastery, emotional, sensory, and psychosocial responses to determine their need for further assessment.
